Social enterprise’s premier, national convening: Summit ’19 in Chicago, IL
Social Enterprise Alliance empowers social enterprises with the tools and resources they need to succeed, and works to foster a social enterprise ecosystem in which they can thrive. Since our founding, we have convened the robust social enterprise field – practitioners, enthusiasts, experts, funders and more – at the Summit.
This September, we gathered in the heart of downtown Chicago for three days of networking, exploring best practices and partaking in candid discussion on the future of the social enterprise.
Attendees learned actionable tactics for taking their social enterprises to the next level in four key areas: Capital, Impact, Marketing and Marketplaces. Summit ’19 featured voices from SAP, Shopify, Bank of America, REDF, RSF Social Finance, Project I Am (founded by 12-year-old entrepreneur Jahkil Jackson) and The Rustandy Center for Social Innovation to name a few. Among the myriad of workshops and celebrations, we also had the chance to tour local social enterprises in the North, West and South Sides of Chicago. View photos of the tours and other Summit ’19 events, here.
