Belinda serves as Treasurer of the Board at the Social Enterprise Alliance Chicago Chapter, Treasurer of the Board at the Illinois Environmental Council, and Advisory Committee Member of Accelerate 77. In addition, she is an active contributor at the Chicago Sustainability Leaders Network, Association of Consultants to Nonprofits, and Forefront.
Belinda is also Founder & Chief Consultant of CiTTA Partnership, a boutique, women- and minority-owned, business consulting firm that focuses on helping social enterprises and other mission-driven organizations scale their social impact in a financially sustainable way, by improving their business models and practices. Clients include both not-for-profit and for-profit entities, across various sectors, such as: healthcare, manufacturing, higher education, early childhood development, youth empowerment, sustainable homeownership, clean energy, energy management, disability, and more. Services provided by CiTTA include: strategy (growth strategy, strategic planning, business planning, business modeling) and marketing (go-to-market strategy and implementation, market research, web development), as well as impact evaluation.
Prior to founding CiTTA in 2011, Belinda worked as Associate Principal with the Civic Consulting Alliance, leading teams across 20 City of Chicago departments in advancing the Chicago Climate Action Plan. Before that, she worked as Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, where she advised Fortune 100 companies and major educational/research nonprofits on strategic and operational issues. And prior to McKinsey, Belinda worked as a Manager at General Electric Healthcare, following several years as a researcher in academia.
Belinda holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a PhD in Medical Physics from the University of London, and a BA in Physics from the University of Oxford. She is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese Chinese.
