As part of the newly formed Citizenship Solutions team at Johnson & Johnson (J&J), Charlene will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies and solutions for the SD&I program. She and her extended team will continue to build critical relationships with and outreach to external stakeholders including advocacy groups, NGOs, industry partners and peer companies, as well as internal relationships and outreach across the company.
Charlene joined Johnson & Johnson in 1998, in the Ethicon-Endo Surgery franchise Procurement organization, and has since established a track of delivering results. She assumed roles of increasing responsibility serving in multiple supply chain functions expanding her breadth and depth across the global J&J enterprise.
In addition to her functional experience, she has also demonstrated an ongoing commitment to Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) at J&J. She has held leadership roles at both the local and national level of the African Ancestry Leadership Council, a J&J Employee Resource Group, during which she drove initiatives to address health care disparities in partnership with commercial teams. She has also been an active member of J&J’s Procurement Women’s Leadership Initiative (PWLI), and has managed or coached multiple diverse businesses, gaining them the exposure to pursue opportunities within J&J.
