Social Enterprise Director, New Moms
Sarah-Jayne is the Social Enterprise Director at New Moms and is responsible for strategic vision and business operations at Bright Endeavors, their workforce development social enterprise that manufactures soy candles. Through its paid job training program, Bright Endeavors gives young moms the opportunity to develop professional skills while learning the art of candle making. Sarah-Jayne joined the Bright Endeavors team in 2019, bringing a long history of sales and operations leadership to drive sustainable growth and position the organization to compete at a national scale.
Prior to joining the New Moms/Bright Endeavors team, Sarah-Jayne held executive leadership roles New City Moving, Chicago’s largest local mover, and Black Box Acting, a performing arts conservatory in Humboldt Park. She has also served as a consultant for small businesses, developing effective sales strategies and sustainable growth initiatives. She is passionate about fostering diverse, inclusive, and parent-supportive workplaces, and has a deep commitment to building an economy where businesses center the workers and communities that allow them to thrive.
Sarah-Jayne holds a Bachelor’s degree from New York University, and is hard at work as an MBA candidate at the University of Illinois Gies School of Business.
